Templates
To ensure that your order is completed properly we recommend that you read through our artwork specifications carefully and use the templates that we have supplied. This information allows for the efficient and trouble free printing of your CD/DVD materials, avoiding delays and additional costs.

Artwork Specifications
Please provide vector based art (see below) with PMS colors or Full Color Process (CMYK) artwork only. RGB is NOT acceptable.
- Electronic Art
- Preferred Software: Adobe Illustrator. Save file as an Illustrator EPS file and the preview format set for Macintosh 8-bit Color, if possible.
- Preferred Media: CD or e-mail.
- Please include all linked files and fonts.
- Save registration marks in registration color, not black.
- Type and Line Art
- Fonts: Include all screen and printer font files, or create outlines of all text. Text size must be a minimum of 6 points or larger.
- Type reversed out of halftone or a process separation is not recommended.
- Line art should have a minimum weight of .005" (.36 pt., or .127mm) and must be vector based.
- PMS Colors and Flood Coats
- Specify PMS (Pantone Matching System) colors.
- Colors may lose their richness when printed on the reflective layer. A white flood coat helps prevent this.
- When specified, please provide a choked flood coat (.005" less on the I.D. and O.D.) If we create a flood coat for you, additional charges will be applied. Sizing your art in our template will save art charges.
- Full Color Process (CMYK)
- A color proof must be supplied for all full color process printing (CMYK).
- Line screen: 100 dpi.
- Trapping
- When two or more colors come into contact in the design, a trap (overlap) of at least .75 pt. (.010") must be incorporated to allow for slight variations in registration during the printing process. If art is provided untrapped, additional charges will apply.
- Halftones and Tints
- Halftones must be limited to the range of 15% to 80%. Halftone screen frequencies should be 100 dpi.
- Halftone gradients should be avoided to minimize banding in the image.
Templates
Please use our templates below when submitting your artwork. Templates are both Macintosh and PC compatible.
Vector-Based Programs
Preferred: Adobe Illustrator v8 and later
Also acceptable: Macromedia Freehand, Corel Draw
Open template in your vector-based program and place it on its own layer. Use the template layer as an overlay with your artwork positioned underneath. Only the artwork that shows through the template will be printed on your CD/DVD.
Page Layout Programs
Preferred: QuarkXPress v4 and later
Also acceptable: Adobe Pagemaker, Adobe InDesign
Place template in a picture box in your page layout program. Position the picture box containing the template in front of all other items and use as an overlay. Only the artwork that shows through the template will be printed on your CD/DVD.
